First Day

On Heath's first day of pre-school it was raining and the rain was not winning any friends with my kid! On his way into the school building he said "It's s'posed to be SUNNY!" and continued pouting and saying "It's not s'posed to be raining when I go to school!" After a few questions from me and honest answers from him I soon realized that he had big dreams for the playground that day!

Overall he had a good first day aside from the fact that when his fellow students were packing up he decided that he didn't want to do it. His teacher, who had Bria and Lys before, said that he wouldn't be able to leave until he packed up! When I entered the room he had his stubborn face on so I thought...great what has he done now! and as soon as he saw me BIG tears rolled down his pinchable cheeks! He said "She not let me go home with you"! Mrs. C and I talked with him and were able to convince him that he was going to go home with me, but he had to do what she asked first.

Since then he has been doing much better!

This is the ONLY smile face I was able to get from him that morning.

The rest were all silly faces...his trademark! :)

Last year I was home alone during Heath's preschool time. This year I am back in my element with another kid! Laney is so fun! Heath loves having another sibling home...though I am sure he wishes she were old enough to play with him! :)

It was THAT kind of morning and Laney made do with jammies!

Laney-bug is drooling all over! Soaks through her clothing, bibs...you name it! We also love giving her kisses as much as she loves giving them herself...drool and all!

Say Cheese!!!

It's almost that time of year again when you wake up early to get your kids all prettied up to say cheese, hoping and praying that the picture is snapped when your kid is bright eyed and smiling!

Here are all the kids pics from the previous years of school and I have to say that it makes me sad to see them growing up so quickly and realize that I am NOT and will NOT be getting any younger even though many of my school memories are fresh in my mind! I would also like to add that my school pictures, especially from High School, are not that great! I would personally hunt down anyone that ever posted mine...

...So, my kids can kill me later, but I decided to show the world their pics before they get to the "want to burn these things" stage of their lives! :) Though I think that over all these pics turned out pretty good (for school pics anyways)!

He is sporting a designer hair cut by my hubby! hee hee! Chad doesn't like the clippers so we can only use scissors or else this kid FREAKS! We needed to use the clippers! :)

Despite the lack of a toothy smile, I think he is quite the Rhett Butler!

I was pregnant and very sick in bed so I had no say in the hair do...I don't even think I knew what day it was to tell you the truth!

I had fun doing her hair! We woke up VERY early and it hasn't happened since! ;) I wish they would've helped bring out her best smile!

My pretty green eyed gal! Hey! I didn't realize this was the same shirt she wore the year before...ha ha! I guess we LOVED it that much! :)

Ok so what on earth is THAT background and I had no clue what she was holding onto until I figured out that THAT background silo looking thing was supposed to be a lighthouse on the beach! And in my defense I was still sick and pregnant during all of this and only managed to pull their hair back. They dressed themselves...can't u tell?

I was sick with pregnancy, but managed to lay her clothes out the night before and actually get her hair looking cute, but they had these pics right after recess...not a good idea!

At least her hair is out of her face! ;)

Risky Busyness

A Little Bit of Heath

Have you ever wondered after having your child what you did before they came...aside from a full nights rest and "No-No" or "That's yucky" was far from your vocab?

Well I have thought that about each of mine and this one has definately taught me that some times you have to laugh when they pee in the backyard and say "Look I am a doggy!" when caught red handed, when he streaks across the neighbor hood naked and you come home to find out he snuck out when the babysitter was in the bathroom and your fence guy asks if that was your kid in his b-day suit. Ok the list could go on and on, especially for this little guy, but I really have learned how to adore this kid for who he is and the way he thinks!

This kid LOVES his Bumble Bee Transformer shoes. I remember liking him in the Transformer cartoon as a kid. It is amazing to see all the things I used to love growing up, coming back for my kids to love.

He goes through phases of who he wants to be. First it was Spiderman, then Superman and now Incredible Hulk!

These two are TIGHT...they are also partners in crime. Heath used to drop food for him all the time when we ate something he didn't want. Heath used to frame the dog for things, but is now back on good terms again! Remember the doughnuts story? :)

5 things about Heath:

1. His fave color is blue! He comments on all the clothes I wear that have blue and informs me over and over again that that is his favorite color in the WORLD! :)

2. He told his pre-school teachers that he loves playing doll house with his sisters...little do they know that when he plays there is much destruction and the girls get mad...he is improving. They have given him his own house to play with and let him do what he wants to it with only a few rules! :)
3. He has had the most time outs in pre-school and Bria is next in line for that prize.
4. He loves to draw.
5. He absolutley 100% LOVES his Grandaddy (my dad) and prays for him EVERY night...and for awhile that was ALL he prayed for, but we finally have him praying for more things now ;)

Shortly after having Laney. I was sitting in the rocker when Heath came up to me and excitedly said while pointing to my belly, "You have another baby in yo tummy?"

I replied, "No there is no baby in there. Laney was the only baby in there and now she is here!"

Then he thought quickly on his toes and said, "Oh! Then it's just fat?"

This is what flashed in my mind with a sigh:Yes kid it is JUST fat!!! Now go away! ;)
Then I said, "Yes, but mommy will lose it one day!" All he did was left with a non interested "Oh!"

The other night we were watching home videos from when Tyson got home from his mission and Chad said he wanted to go on a mission to Russia and Bria said she wanted to go on a mission too. Then Heath piped in "I wanna go on a BOWLING mission!" ha ha! I am sure someone out there can think of how to relate that to the Gospel! ;)

You'll have to excuse me from not being a part of blogging land for some time. I have blog stalked a little and wanted to comment, but barely had the time to really even read the blogs I was stalking.I have been fighting another bad breast infection. This one has totally whooped my tail this time! But I am optimistic that I will heal and be able to continue with being a mommy! All in due time. I just have to ride this one out!

I hope to one day soon be able to get back into blogging more, but in the meantime I am just going to nurse, nurse, NURSE!!! ;)

High Hopes and a B-day Party

I have started my weekly doctor visits. Today I went in with high hopes that my enduring a couple of months of on and off again Braxton Hicks Contractions, would prove to be of great worth like being dilated to maybe a 2 (yes high hopes)! But NOTHING! The cervix is thick and TIGHT as a drum! Grrr! You would think that baby #5 would show some progress early on. I was a 2 by this point with the last 2! Oh well. I guess I still have a little over 2 weeks so it shouldn't be a big surprise, but you sure feel a bit more triumphant when you start to dilate as well as knowing (during your last few weeks of uncomfortableness) it really can't be much longer! :)

Last night we had family over for a small b-day party for Heath. He seemed to really enjoy himself and LOVED his gifts, especially the one I found that totally had his name written all over it. I would've tried it myself if I didn't have a huge preggos belly! :) All the kids got a turn. Of course when you are having fun there is always one that gets hurt. One of my nieces got into a wrestling match with our landscape rocks and lost. Her arm ended up getting scraped and probably a little bruised. I am glad it wasn't worse.

Later on in the evening Heath saw my sister rocking X, my nephew who is a few months old, and Heath said "Is THAT my Laney!?!" In his defense he hadn't seen his face by this point. Of course he said that because I have been telling him that she will come after his b-day...should've waited and said after Bria's as to not get his hopes up so much! :) At least he is excited about her!

Chad loves to pretend that he is picking his nose on pictures...10 year olds or BOYS (you pick...no pun intended)! ;)

4 Years Old

Heath is 4 years old and such a big kid! I remember when he was just a baby thinking that Bria was such a handful and then this little one hit 18 months old and blew Bria's rep out of the water! He has brought much happiness, frustration, laughter and lessons for us to learn in his 4 years here! We adore him and are grateful for him, his spunkiness and sense of humor!

Things exclusively Heath:

1. He LOVES salad especially with croutons or French Fried onions!
2. Likes ice cream with SPRINKLES on top! He has been caught pouring the Sprinkles into his mouth!
3. His favorite game to play is Hide-n-seek in the dark and he always leads you through the dark whether to him or some unlucky hider who thought he didn't know where they were!
4. He loves to cook!

5. He LOVES to be ALL OVER THE PLACE! :)
6. Is a Transformer lover!
7. Loves jumping!
8. Was the first to nickname his sisters, Sissy and Ro-Ro!
9. Absolutely LOVES play dough!
10. Asks to see my belly everyday so he can spend time with his new baby!

The Entertainer

Last week was Heath's Spring Program for pre-school. I walked in with small expectations on his performing considering that in his last program (the Christmas one) he yelled out "MOMMY" in excitement of seeing me there then he defiantly sat down behind a kid periodically peering out from behind his legs to make sure that my attention was still fully on him! But this time he blew a kiss to me still happy to have all of my attention and he actually participated! Of course he was goofy at times and he got a little impatient having to stand through 4-5 songs and even yelled "Thank You" after one performance cause he wanted to be done, but I was glad he at least participated! Even his teachers all praised him for his good participation! He is such a cute ham sometimes! Life wouldn't be the same without him!

In one of the videos he makes sure that the little girl next to him is in her spot then in the other he can be heard saying "Ball Game", and "strike" loudly! He is the last kid on the second row.

After wards he had a reaction to the cinnamon on his face (that must be the true story behind Joker's face), but I don't think he really cared or that it bothered him~it was THAT good!

Growing Pains

I can't believe that my baby is in preschool! I thought I'd be partying after I said "Bye", but I left feeling a little sad and torn over leaving him(even parents feel the growing pains)! :) He did a great job for the most part and got time out for being loud...at least it wasn't for him peeing on the playground like a dog or running around naked!

Overall he had a great day and talked more about his playground time than anything else! Isn't he just so cute?

Bare Naked Babies well...Baby!

Potty Training has really changed my life! It has created a monster! :)

Little dude escaped the house while dear Aunty was in the bathroom...wouldn't be so bad as long as he wasn't ...BUTT NAKED! :) Yep and we had 3 guys here to put our fence up and they witnessed the whole thing! When I got home I had to talk to them about something and one of them asked if that was my kid. I groaned and owned up! He laughed and said "looks like he was playing some naked sports!" ha ha! ;)

He went a few houses down to look through our neighbors' fence and admire their pool! I am sooooo sure that the neighbors got an eyeful, but we all laughed(me, Cait and the kids...not in front of him, of course) after I told him he was naughty....we don't show our parts to others kind of spiel. Chad said it looks like he was meant to be one of those fountain statues from Italy. LOL

I ever see a positive sounding potty training book again I am going to find the person who wrote it and make them eat the book!!!
I do have to admit that he really has gotten better(he's lasted through 3 hrs of church and told us when he needed to go), but it is still frustrating and time consuming. My girls were the easiest! The boys**sigh** another story though Heath takes the cake!

Quiet Time...

I love quiet time! I always look forward to quiet time, but I have been finding out lately that when quiet time actually becomes QUIET in my house, you have to check on Heath!

A few days ago, I took some quiet time to organize some papers while Heath was supposed to be watching a movie in my room, instead I found him cleaning(that wouldn't be so bad if he kept the water in the toilet) and plunging the toilet! I ended up using 2 HUGE beach towels to soak up the carpet by my bathroom door(which is about 8-9ft. from the toilet) and a big one to try and dry the floor and mop with tons of bleach since it was toilet water he had peed in right before he played in it(ewwwww)!!!
Although he got in trouble, I think he just might try to pull this one again! I saw it in his eyes...there's something that's fascinating to him about that toilet! What do you think...future plumber? Maybe a Hazmat employee? Or maybe a Marine Biologist!

Update on Potty Time!

Heath has FINALLY gone poopy in the potty! YAY!!! Of course, I had to dig out an entire box of wipes and a roll of toilet paper in order to get it flushed(he must've done it while I was busy with the girls)! But when you're potty training you gotta look for the positive at some point! Other than that he has had 1 pee accident in his pants...maybe we are on the up and up after all!

We'll see now that I have spoken!

AHHHHHH!!! Someone flush me down the toilet!

Can I just say I HATE potty training!!! You'd THINK kids would get tired of having that nasty wet or poopy feel against their bums(yuck!)! But NO! They'd rather be stinky and ostracized by all their family members and friends because they are stinky, then going in the potty, flushing it all away and everyone happy in the end!

We're on week 2(sigh)!
I have to keep remembering...I love this kid, I love this kid...he can be cute! He'll be potty trained before kindergarten!

Kids At Play

I know that Heath-y's b-day was really 3 weeks back or so, BUT I have been very busy and thought that the best time to do a party was during the time I had playgroup and it actually worked out really well. I am glad that my friend H was there through a part of it so I had some help during a little of the crazy part...cake eating! So, thanks friend! :) The kids had fun and they got more kicks from me pumping a certain balloon up and letting it go! It made noise and one actually flew crazily around the room and made lots of noise and left the kids, especially Heath in a fit of laughter!!! So, that was basically our games besides outside play! Easily amused and it even made me laugh!

I had fun taking pics as the kids all played! I have been trying to work on my lighting and how I catch a shot! It was fun!
